The next UK PMU Conference & Awards take place on Saturday 6th April 2025, London, Hilton Heathrow, at the gala dinner which closes our 2 day event.

  • Upload Your Pictures and complete the details in the form before midnight/24.00 on the closing date. There is no live model element.

  • Good Luck! Once submitted an automated copy will be sent to your email for your records

MORE ON THE AWARDS PROCESS

It is up to each individual to present and showcase their work to the best of their ability using the submission form and judges’ briefing. Winners are chosen by our independent industry judges and are based on the quality of your submissions against this brief.

Answers to all questions on the submission forms are read thoroughly, we advise you to put as much time and effort into your answers and submissions as possible.

We encourage candidates to think outside the box with their answers, and put across why they are different from everyone else applying.

THE STAGES

1. There are a number of categories that you can enter. You can enter as many categories as you like, you will need to complete a form for each category How to enter:

  • Choose your category/ies & click on the category tile/link which will open a submission form.

  • Complete the details in the form and upload your pictures.

  • Once submitted an automated copy will be sent to your email for your records

2. Once your work is submitted, it goes into the Judge’s submission file. We have a panel of independent judges whose aim is to be impartial and judge work in line with the published judges’ briefing. Submissions are sent to them anonymously* so that work is judged based on submissions rather than on industry relationships, social media following numbers or other factors. (*The Product/Academy/Service award it is not possible to do anonymously) Entrants’ work will be judged on a number of elements which include - symmetry, shape, colour/tone, end result & technical skill, the full judge’s briefing is available here

3. After the closing date, applicants shortlisted as finalists by the judges will be emailed and invited to the gala dinner & awards with a heavily discounted finalist ticket. All finalists are expected to support the awards with their attendance/awards ticket purchase. If you have not purchased a discounted finalist ticket by the 31st August, your application will not progress further but you still retain your finalist title.

4. Winners and runners-up remain a closely guarded secret until the gala dinner & awards! At the event for each category, the top three in each category will be invited to the stage. A trophy will be given to the overall winner the two runners-up will receive framed certificates. All finalists in attendance at the awards will receive finalist certificates

Winners and finalists will hold their titles for 12 months. Winners will be promoted on our website and social media platforms.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Kindly note that it will be presumed that entrants of the awards have read & understood these terms and conditions and agree to abide by them. Awards will be presented at our Gala Dinner event.

  • As the awards take considerable time to organise, judge and assess, a non-refundable administration fee is payable upon entry to each category.

  • All finalists in attendance will receive framed certificates and event photography. All winners receive our coveted winner’s trophy, event photography, and promotion via our channels.

  • Should you be shortlisted as a finalist, you will be offered an event ticket at a heavily discounted rate. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO WAIT TO PURCHASE YOUR TICKET - WE CAN REFUND THE DIFFERENCE IF YOU ARE SELECTED.

  • We do expect finalists to support the event with their attendance/awards ticket purchases. Once finalists are announced, you will be given a timeframe to register your attendance. Those who do not register within this time frame will not be able to progress.

  • Should finalists not be able to attend in person their finalist status will remain, but their ability to progress to win the overall category will be withdrawn, without a refund of the administration fee. Should you not be able to attend in person, but you are a ticket holder you can progress and we will arrange for a proxy to collect your award.

  • The organisers/judges have the complete right to decline the distribution of awards either from one or all categories if they do not find the presented content worthy of the awards.

  • The Organiser reserves the right to change the categories and the judging panel without prior notice to entrants if they deem fit.

  • All applications will be judged solely on their application form and its contents. It is up to you to showcase your work in the clearest way. The full judges' briefing is available HERE. Work should be raw, and clear without the use of filters or makeup Additional points are given for healed work and consistent lighting.

  • In the interest of fairness, we aim where possible, that each category will be judged by more than one judge. Judges will rank their favourites, and winners and finalists will be decided on the combined popularity.

  • No correspondence will be entered into regarding individual imagery, rankings or otherwise.

  • Judging is a meticulous task, which can take many hours per category. Sadly, due to the number of entries, individual feedback on entries is not possible.

  • As our awards are anonymous (apart from the professional service/academy/product award) We will not be taking social media into account, however, we may ask for your handles to tag you, should you receive a feature.

  • Due to the sensitivities of GDPR, we will not distribute pictures of actual submissions without the express permission of the model in the submission. We may however redistribute work from the winner’s social media pages.

  • Answers to all questions on the submission forms are read thoroughly, we advise you to put as much time and effort into your answers as possible as opposed to just a few sentences. We encourage candidates to think outside the box with their answers and explain to our team why they are different from everyone else applying.

  • A copy of your application will be sent to you automatically upon submission. It is your responsibility to check that this has your correct information.

  • The Organiser reserves the right at its absolute discretion to reject any entry, without notice.

  • Any attempt to bride or otherwise alter the judge's decisions will result in automatic disqualification.

  • The decision of the Organiser is final and binding on all matters affecting this competition, and rights are reserved to changes in the terms and conditions.
